The Fountain

It's late at night, just me, a couple of books I'm too tired to read, and a snoring seventeen year old dachshund. Even Solomon's gone to bed.

So I think, this would be a good time to watch that movie you've been waiting to see. And I put it in.

And then spent 90 minutes trying figure out exactly what it was I was missing.

The Fountain

I suspect I haven't taken enough drugs to appreciate this one.

I hear that, Mary - I've watched it twice because it was so hard to follow the first time. I still like it though.

The film itself was just beautiful. Lots of attention to artistic value, but the interwoven plots left me scratching my head. Maybe I'll give it a second run before I send it back.

Griffin and Phoenix is here. I'm planning to watch it tonight after the kiddos go to bed. That way I don't have to put up with teenage boy antics (loud theatrical sobbing and the like).

Oh, Mary, my kids love watching their mother cry at movies better than practically anything.

Hi Debby,

The younger kids are pretty good about it, but my oldest is at that rotten age during which they believe tears over something as silly as a movie deserves ridicule. :)

I can't wait for him to have kids so they can make fun of him.

Hehe. I've often thought the same thing myself when it comes to mine. "One of these days they'll have kids of their own and THEN they'll understand..."
