We put glasses on two kids today. That makes four out of six people so far. Next week we find out if the other two need them.
On the publishing front I'm 0-3 with one still out at this point, but I'm actually getting more confident, not less, with every rejection. At my husband's suggestion I contacted a bestselling author today asking for advice concerning the long synopsis as the agent I'm looking at next wants one.
"Sell the sizzle not the steak", he said. "You're only selling the read, not the book."
In other words, I'm to be more concerned with selling the writing and the idea than I am with actually telling the story verbatim.
That made solid sense.
