Christmas

We had a good Christmas morning on the whole. During the night a cold ransacked the house and left us all drained, feverish, and sniffly, but all-in-all it was tons of fun to see the kids faces when they opened their gifts. They didn't get a huge number of presents, but because we shopped sales (and Ebay) what they did get was memorable.

Gary had snapped several terrible shots of sleepy boys and I finally snatched away the camera and asked them to imagine what was under the tree. That did the trick! (Please ignore the scruffy pajamas and the hair all askew!)

For extended family I made gifts. This year I quite accidentally discovered a new hobby. Candle decorating turned out to be more fun than the craft page said it would be, but it was also more fun than I expected. I think I'll try making my own candles and decorating them next time around.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year, Mary.

Try making them sing a Christmas carol before they open gifts. They'll hate it, but they'll do it.

(That's our fairly new tradition)

Thanks everybody!

Ray--I've got to try that next year. :)

Since posting this picture I've concluded that my New Year's resolution is to repaint my livingroom. Nothing like a highly pixelated camera to point out the flaws . . .
