God's Original Masterpiece

A friend of mine posted this on Facebook (without the Arabic subtitles). It really lifted me up and gave me much to think about.

We're back to school as of today. This is a little early for us, but Gary's taking a week of vacation in early October so we can take the boys camping before it gets too cold. We want to take them to a place called Johnson's Shut-ins in the northeast part of the state.

Speaking of camping, Gary and I spent a lovely weekend on the Buffalo River in Arkansas celebrating our 20th anniversary. Just the two of us, the river, a tent, a bottle of wine, some steaks, and a couple of starry nights.

Happy 20th, Mary - that looks like a lovely spot for some 'alone time' - tent, wine, steaks and stars, aaaah.

:-)

ACK! BUMMER! I read that all wrong and was excitingly looking up your camping location to see if I could come by and say hi later this year (I'm a friendly sort of stalker).

We live near Kansas City, which is northWEST. Duh.

I was so excited there for a minute! LOL on me!

I highly recommend Johnson's Shut-Ins. I grew up a few miles from there and worked at the park one summer. While you are in the area, be sure to take in Elephant Rocks and Battle of Pilot Knob historic site. Both are only minutes away.
