Birthdays and Stuff

At the insistence of those around me, who claim that I may not remain the same age for more than 365 days in a row (who makes up this stuff?), I am having one of these today.

It is only 10AM and I've already been thoroughly spoiled. God even sent a rain storm last night (the first rain we've had in over a month) so I wouldn't have to water my garden this morning. Gary made me breakfast and gave me a lovely card and flowers. The boys are filing through, half awake, and all of them have remembered to wish me a Happy Birthday without being prompted by their father or Facebook.

In summary--there are pink roses on my desk, the world has been washed clean, and I am newly 46. What a great way to begin a new year.
