Today, writers all over the world are giving away a piece of their work for free, protesting an article that claims that writers who put their work online for free are some kind of techo-scabs (ewww!).
I'm certainly not a known factor in this debate, but it's as good a time as any to be generous.
This is a short story I wrote two years ago. It is not sci-fi or fantasy or thriller-fic. It's not even a literary affort, just an early attempt at storytelling.
