I've got some kind of virus--stomach-upset, cold symptoms, etc. Gary has it too and is currently in bed with a fever and about to miss work, because his eyes are running and blurry too. This won't do this week's paycheck any good whatsoever.
We really didn't need this.
Fortunately I've got a flexible schedule so I bumped the meeting I had today off until tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be in a better place then all the way around.
Editing is going more slowly than I'd like, but it's going. It's not about typos--it's about what to leave out and what to put in. I sometimes wonder if what I'm worried about is going to be invisible to the average reader and if I need to just move past all but the most obvious problems. This has given me an opportunity to build up the effect of evidence and a chance to go back and build on the attack scene (which-by the way--was just as awful to re-write as it was to write).
