Last night Jeremiah sat down to write his sociology survey and reported happily that he had a more than adequate number of responses. He was also delighted with everyone's explanations as to why they made the choices they did. There was quite a variety, but the theme was fairly consistent--namely that it was, in brief, a stupid survey. Interestingly it amped up his enthusiasm for the assignment and the work he's turning in tonight (which includes a brightly colored pie chart as well as a three page essay and an extensive tally sheet) is among some of the best I've seen from him. Considering the teacher gave them only a week to compile all this information and the kid is carrying a full-load of classes and packing in thirty hours a week at work, I'd say he did pretty well.
So I want to thank all you who helped with this assignment. I didn't even know some of you had responded until he asked me who a couple of you were. In an interesting way, it was very much like introducing you all to him. Whether he knows it or not, he got a good cross section of reactions.
I'm sure you're wondering about the results of all your hard work, so rest assured that I will post them on here as soon as I know something.
PS. A few days ago I received a
Bald Faced Liar Creative Writer's blog award from
Ray Veen. This award came with important stipulations. I'll post those tomorrow. First I've got to manufacture some facts about myself.

Oh yeah -- the survey. Sorry I didn't get around to doing it. Glad to hear the assingment went well anyway.
Looking forward to reading your lies.
I'd sure like to see the pie chart, hear the results. I think I know where the teacher is headed with this, but would like to hear the explanation for myself.
Ray--Don't worry about it. I know you're really busy.
Debby--If Jeremiah will share, I'll be happy to show it off.
