Skyline

It was Joseph's 16th birthday today and he wanted to give  Skyline a shot in spite of all of the bad reviews. The rest of us concurred.

Optimist that I am, I really wanted to like this movie--it had great trailers, cool effects, and an interesting "Cloverfield" kind of plot. And as we watched it, we began to wonder if this would be one of those times we disagreed with the critics. Yeah, it was a little bit B-grade, but we kind of like those around here if we see them coming. In fact, we were growing kind of enthused about it. The characters were (mostly) easy to care about and the action was intense with lots of twists and turns.

And then came the end.

I want my hour and a half back.

Fortunately-Joseph had other things to be happy about.

He's growing up too fast for my liking.
Happy Birthday Joe!

Happy birthday! And wow, he's grown a LOT in the last six years.

Yep, I want my 90 minutes back too, lol. At the end I kept asking who are the aliens, where are they from, what do they want? All the special effects in the world mean squat if these questions aren't answered for me.

You probably won't like Battlefield LA for exactly the same reason.

Scotty-Thanks for the warning. And Joe said thanks.
