Tiny little happy dance

An agent I queried last week has requested that I send the first five pages of my manuscript. Here is the reason I'm excited about this:

(Quoted from their site)
Please note that due to the very high volume of e-mail queries that we receive, we can only respond to those in which we are genuinely interested.

So while I half expect a rejection (okay more than half), this means I finally created a query letter that didn't earn a first glance form response.

Congrats on getting past the receptionist! It's encouraging to see someone who can actually write catch a break :-)

Thanks everyone. I sent it off tonight. Now I've got to keep myself from checking the computer every five minutes.
